We welcome you and your child to Early Childhood Education Ministries
Our heart is to:
• Provide a safe environment for our kids
• Show the love of Christ to our kids
• Share the Word of God with our kids
Vision
➢ Grow in personal faith and knowledge
➢ Evangelize young families
➢ Nurture spiritual and personality development
Our vision is inspired from the bible in which one scripture states:
“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” Deuteronomy 4:9
Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, fun and comfortable environment for both parents and children alike. To accomplish this, our volunteers and parent helpers will teach, encourage, read, play and feed our children to make sure they are constantly developing. We want everyone who comes in contact with our Early Childhood Education Department to feel our Father’s love and we hope to accomplish this by welcoming your family with open arms and love.
“Three things will last forever–faith, hope, and love–and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
The Early Childhood Education Ministry covers age’s infants to PreK. There are 5 classrooms that make up our department:
Infants: Newborn-12 months
Toddler 1(Room): 12 months-2 years
Toddler 2(room): 2 years-3 years
Toddler 3(Room): 3 years-4 years
PreK(room): 4 years-until in Kindergarten
We have classes on Sunday morning from 10:30-12:15 (all ages) and Thursday evening from 7:00-8:30 (all ages except infants).
Parent Coop
We ask that all parents who have children in the Early Childhood Education Ministry to volunteer once a month on either Thursday evening (6:45-8:30) or Sunday morning (10:15-12:15). Please contact Lindsay O’Connor, the Director of Early Childhood Education if you are currently not signed up to volunteer and she can get you started.
Early Childhood Education Policies
Serving/Volunteering: Caring for children calls for many people to be successful. Keeping this in mind we ask you to work with us by volunteering your time to care for the children. We also ask parents who have children in the Early Childhood Education department to volunteer once a month. Each person who volunteers in this department is required to fill out an application, and other necessary paperwork. We also require that volunteers attend 1 training session a year. If you are interested and/or have any questions please feel free to contact our Early Childhood Education Director.
Check-in Procedures: We have a computer based check-in system located in the First Kidz hall. Each child is required to check-in and will receive a tag that is to be put on each child. The parent will also receive a tag that has a matching code. This is important to keep as when you pick your child up you will be required to show this tag to make sure the codes match. This is done to ensure the safety of the children. Children will not be accepted after 11:15 am for the morning service.
Paging System: If we need you during the time we are caring for your child, we will page you with the number given to you at the check-in desk. The display for this is on either the left or right side of the sanctuary. Please go immediately to your child’s room!
Illness: In order to ensure the safety and health of our children and workers, please refrain from bringing your child if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours:
-Diarrhea
-Vomiting
-Fever
-Rash
-Open sores
-Runny nose
