Connect Groups (offered 3x per year)
Connect Groups are groups of 10-15 people designed to help us fulfill our goal of being a “Community Connected” church. Every believer is connected by virtue of being a part of God’s body. Connect Groups celebrate that connection by creating communities of people who gather every other week for food, fellowship, and devotion in homes around Worcester County. People can choose to join a group at our “Table” events or be invited by a friend. They are organized around age, location, and a range of topics. We hope to see everyone in our church in a Connect Group.
Here are the classes offered this spring season: (Classes start January 24th)
1. Wide Angle
Christian leaders Chuck Colson and Rick Warren have joined together to produce a stimulating study called Wide Angle: Framing Your Worldview.
In this DVD study series, Colson and Warren tackle some of the key issues of our day: truth vs. relativism, creationism vs. Darwinism, tolerance, terrorism, and so much more. You will learn about competing worldviews, the biblical basis for a Christian worldview, and its application to every facet of life.
2. Marriage: Built to Last
Research has shown that over 50% of Marriages are ending in divorce. That is why we’ve partnered with Pastor Chip Ingram of Living on the Edge Radio Program, financial guru Dave Ramsey and Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner to tackle the common issues couples are facing in their marriages today. Marriage: Built to Last isn’t your typical marriage study. Throughout the series, you’ll watch 24 real life couples from across the country share candidly about their struggles in communication, finances, sexual intimacy, expectations, and more. In the study, you will hear the story of Dave Ramsey and his wife Sharon as they recovered from financial stress and hardship. You will hear the story of Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda share candidly about expectations, trust issues, and adjusting to a blended family.
3. Matthew
Follow along with Pastor Brian’s Sermon series in a deeper look at the Gospel of Matthew. Thought provoking questions, group discussions, and an in-depth look at the life of Jesus Christ and His call to us.
