In 2001, Mr. Laughlin took on the dual role of Business Administrator at First Assembly of God and also at First Assembly Christian Academy.  Ed provides assistance and direction in all areas of both the church and the school's organization. He heads up the Human Resource Department in both the church and the school as well.  He joined the staff at First Assembly after a 37-year career at Thom McAn Shoe Company, where he was Vice President of Sales and Operations. Ed says that, "The opportunity to serve God in this capacity after a career in business is a true blessing".

His wife, Shirley, is on the board of Women's Ministries and together they teach the Adult Christian Education Sunday School class every Sunday morning. They have two children, Steve and Kristen; a son-in-law, Todd and two lovely granddaughters: Emily and Lauren Lundstrom.
