Rev. Brian Minnich
Brian
received the call to full-time ministry while attaining his
undergraduate degree from Penn State University. He answered the
call of the Lord and spent 3 years with Book of Hope working as
a foreign missionary in Russia. There he participated in
communicating the gospel to over 1 million students and led 50+
U.S. based mission teams. Since then he has ministered in 45
different nations of the world.
Brian
served this church membership in the form of Youth Pastor from
1997 to 2001 with excellence. It was at this time that he
continued his biblical education and became a licensed minister
with the Assemblies of God.
Brian
left our fellowship to answer another call to Missions, this
time at the Book of Hope Int’l headquarters under the title of
“Internship Director.” During his time at Book of Hope he very
quickly became a highly respected and valued member of their
senior team.

During a missionary trip to India, while at the Book of Hope,
Brian received the call to Pastor. He decided that he would
require of himself a Masters of Divinity. He left the Book of
Hope, a career, a decent salary and Florida to live in a small
campus dorm building with his family of 4 in order to prepare
for the pastorate. While going to school full-time he worked to
provide for his family. Brian graduated with a Master of Divinity
degree from Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary and soon after
received his ordination from the Southern New England District
of the Assemblies of God.
Brian is
wise and mature beyond his years due to the high level of
ministry work he has done in foreign missions, our church, Book
of Hope and now with his advanced degree. He has a network of
friends, mentors and supporters that is international and highly
respected. Brian comes highly recommended from names like Bob
Hoskins, Rob Hoskins, David B. Crabtree and Charles Crabtree.
Brian
comes to us with his wife Glorie Ann, whom he met at our
church, his sons Jared (6) and Joel (5) and daughter Lauren (9
months).
Brian
does not come to us as a typical candidate, nor did he work out
his calling in a traditional way. He spent many years doing the
work of the Lord on the front lines and now has completed his
advanced degree. It was this early field work that prepared his
heart for missions and discipleship, it was his later work at
Book of Hope that prepared him for the administrative, financial
and leadership skills needed to lead our congregation. We
believe Brian has the skills and calling necessary to address
the unique multi-cultural needs of our congregation and is
uniquely positioned to build on the legacy that the Crabtree’s
established.
The board could not be
more excited about this selection. We understand that on the
surface Brian represents questions of maturity and pastoral
experience, but we continue to be amazed as we watch God open
and close doors that have led us to this decision.
